Traveling to Europe? This Simran converter is the one I personally use. It is a workhorse. I've left it plugged in for weeks at a time with no adverse affects.

I'm also able to power my US electronics with it. I had another brand converter that did not last very long. But I've had a Simran for years and it just keeps on working.
It works great with the Hydro Floss. In Germany, you don't need anything else, not even an adaptor.
This will work in other European countries as well but you may also need an adaptor. That's something you can get locally when you are in Europe for 50 cents or some small amount.
All of Europe and Australia is on the 220 system. Therefore, if you have a US based appliance or electronics, you need a step down transformer (Simran SMF-200, for example).
If you were to try and plug something designed for the 110 Volt system (North America) Into a 220 System, you would most likely 'fry' it. In addition, there could be a potential fire hazard as well. Therefore, never plug a 110 volt item into a 220 system! This is regardless of whether you have an adaptor (different than a converter) or not.
This model Simran has served me well in Europe. I think this is a really good one to get.
