What's wonderful about the Grossan brand of nasal and sinus irrigation salt is that it contains xylitol.
I haven't checked all the other brands, but I think Grossan is the only brand that has that.
What is the advantage? The cool thing is that xylitol is a 5 carbon sugar that the 'bad' bacteria that may be in your sinus and nasal passages cannot digest. It causes them to die. It's natural and isn't some patented drug with a bunch of side effects.
It's clear to me that Dr. Grossan thought carefully about what was best for his patients. With over 40 years experience as an ENT or Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, he was in a unique position to see what was really helpful and what was not.
Not much trumps that kind of experience and insight, wouldn't you agree?
